Common elements for most* review submissions
are:
Overall
- This rating element is to outline your impressions
of the whole story, including concepts, character strengths,
plots, flow and general enjoyment of the title.
Sensuality - The sensuality
rating can be a little tricky. Often a book may have
a great deal of sex, but may very well not actually
be sensual, so consider carefully when rating this element!
Reviewer Comments - It
is expected that a review will generally include 3-7
paragraphs in the comments area outlining the story
line in general, character introduction, and your thoughts
on how they all work together. Reviews without comments
will not be posted. Reviews are designed to provide
the potential reader with an idea of how you (as a reviewer)
felt about a particular book, storyline or character.
Your reviews can often make
the difference between whether or not a book will be
purchased. Try to include as much detail as you can
on particular elements that you like/dislike (without
giving it all away!) that might pique the interest of
the potential reader.
Reviews that are malicious,
cruel or overtly inappropriate in tone, content or focus
will not be posted.
* Note: Reviews
submitted for our YOUNG ADULT ROMANCE WRITERS community
will not include a sensuality rating, but will instead
ask for the following elements: Overall, Hero, Heroine,
Recommended?
We reserve the right to not
post a review for any reason without notice to the reviewer.
